About SpeakPulse

Through Research and Development with Froedtert Hospital’s speech pathology department, SpeakPulse was created to help individuals become more articulate and effective speakers. Its proprietary software enables individuals to identify weak areas of their speech delivery and frequency of disfluency, isolate those problems and eventually eliminate them or make improvements.

Everyone has varying degrees of speaking ability – however, whether they like to admit it or not, everyone can be a better speaker. Because speaking involves so many different components, it can be difficult, time-consuming and expensive to train on your own. Our proposal to you is let us help you find out where you stand, and then help you improve. In a nutshell, SpeakPulse aims to help you benchmark your speaking level.  To the right is just a small sampling of the groups we assist.

Hesitation devices like “um” or “ah”, a tendency to speak too fast, or problems like excessive disfluency are all things that weaken a person’s speech delivery. A SpeakPulse assessment will uncover these problems.  For training and coaching firms, our assessment software provides a way to benchmark a client’s verbal communication skills.  Clients can then be trained based on this foundation.

On the self-improvement side of the equation, once we can discover the areas you struggle with, you can isolate those problems, and find ways to improve them. That way, the next time you practice, the next time you speak in public, or the next time you see a business coach, you can begin cutting out these bad habits. After all, recognizing a problem is the best way to begin correcting it.

Business Coaches/Educators

Business or speaking coaches’ reputations and earnings are judged by how well their clients succeed professionally. Part of their job is helping them effectively communicate and give oral presentations. SpeakPulse is here to assist you with your clients. We act as another tool in your toolbox so you can benchmark your clients’ speaking ability and determine what areas they need to improve.

Client-facing Employees

Whether you’re a sales person or a customer service representative, speaking articulately and professionally is going to be a major determinant of your professional success. Clients expect it, your managers require it, and your professional advancement will depend on it. Make sure your next client or prospect is blown away by your communication skills.

Individuals Seeking Personal Improvement

Daily interaction presents all kinds of speaking opportunities. They could be professional or personal. However, regardless of the situation, you can be more effective in any conversation by sounding fluent. Let SpeakPulse give you a baseline understanding of your speaking ability so you know how you sound.

Public Speakers

Giving a public speech or presenting before a crowd can be intimidating, regardless of your experience. To be successful, it also requires practice and recognition of your speaking strengths and weaknesses. Let SpeakPulse help you find out what areas you need to work on and what areas you’re a pro in. Take your next presentation to the next level.

Interviewees

Going through an interview is a daunting task, especially when it’s in front of a large group of people. However, not sounding professional and articulate can have a very negative impact on your ability to land an offer. Don’t let a bad speaking habit damage your chances.

Students

From giving a class presentation to getting ready for the jump from college to the job market are all student responsibilities. One thing they have in common: you can be significantly more successful if you know how to communicate well. Let SpeakPulse solve that side of the equation for you. Diagnose your speaking ability and prove to your classmates that you are ready for any professional situation.

Attorneys

Most lawyers are experts in public speaking. Often times, however, there are small and also significant areas they can improve. It could be a problematic voice pitch or a bad habit of accidentally stuttering. If you’re an attorney looking to improve your presence on stage – regardless if it’s in the courtroom or an internal shareholder meeting – let SpeakPulse show you what areas you need to work on to be the rainmaker, at all times.

Executive Assistants

Executive assistants, secretaries and receptionists often make an impression for their boss and help maintain the overall professionalism of an office. A SpeakPulse assessment will help you understand how you sound to clients, colleagues, other executives, vendors, etc. At the end of the day, you want to be the right-hand person that cannot be replaced.
